Thomas Popp
Managing Partner
Successful projects arise when industry and process knowledge are optimally combined with IT expertise and social competence. It is part of our DNA to view processes, systems, and people together, understand them, and advance them collectively.

Thomas Popp studied computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg and initially built his extensive industry, process, and IT expertise through numerous projects first as a developer and solution architect, later as a project and program manager. His clients included Audi, BMW, Daimler, GM Europe, Opel, MAN, and OSRAM. 

For over 15 years, he developed the IT consultancy HighQ-IT for the manufacturing industry GmbH as a managing partner responsible for business development before the company was sold to Perot Systems in 2008. 

Afterward, Thomas Popp served as Managing Director for Perot Systems and Dell Services until mid-2010, responsible for strategy and the development of the European business for industrial consulting and SAP services. In 2011, he founded Q2factory GmbH as a managing partner and has since been actively involved in various project and management roles for our clients.

Jürgen Boelcke
Managing Partner

Jürgen Boelcke completed his studies in mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing technology at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. He began his professional career as a software developer and architect of a production planning and control system.

At HighQ-IT for the manufacturing industry GmbH, he expanded his expertise in the manufacturing industry and process optimization as a consultant and project/program manager. He led ERP standard system implementations, was responsible for the "Supply Chain Management" division, and developed the "Best Practice SAP ERP System" as well as the "Value-Oriented SAP ERP Implementation" approach.

He then served as Director for "SCM & CRM Solutions" at Perot Systems and DELL Services. There, he developed expertise in "SAP Manufacturing Execution" and managed key clients as a Key Account Manager.

Jürgen Boelcke is a co-founder of Q2factory GmbH and takes on a variety of project tasks for our clients.

Holger Petersen

After completing a technical apprenticeship as a precision mechanic, Holger Petersen studied mechanical engineering at GH Siegen and at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

Holger Petersen expanded his industry experience in various consulting firms as a consultant, project manager, and team lead. As a supply chain specialist focusing on international roll-out projects, he worked with renowned clients worldwide in the automotive and medical industries, as well as in mechanical and plant engineering.

Since 2011, Holger Petersen has been working at Q2factory as a project manager and client manager. In 2016, he took on responsibility as a partner for the areas of digitalization, as well as system and process optimization.

Martin Schmidbauer

Martin Schmidbauer studied computer science with a focus on information and communication management at Wilhelm Büchner University in Darmstadt. 

Initially, he worked in international mid-sized manufacturing companies as a software developer, project manager, and department head.

After eleven years of industry experience, he continued his career in the SAP consulting firms HighQIT for the manufacturing industry GmbH, Perot Systems, and DELL Services. There, he worked as a consultant and project manager for renowned clients in the automotive and medical industries, as well as in mechanical and plant engineering. In addition to value-oriented SAP implementations, global template development, and SAP rollouts, he also supported numerous strategic IT projects.

Martin Schmidbauer joined Q2factory GmbH in 2011 as a project manager and client manager. Since 2016, he has been responsible as a partner for SAP S/4HANA assessments, new implementations, system conversions, and innovations.

We continuously work on expanding our industry, business process, and technology expertise to stay at the forefront of developments. With our team of experts, we aim to inspire our customers with innovative solution approaches. We ensure that we develop holistic solutions for end-to-end processes, considering all relevant areas and aspects.

Andreas Lämmle

Amid the constant noise of technological innovation, one must have the ability to distinguish gimmicks from potential game changers.

Andreas Lämmle studied Business Informatics with a focus on digitalization in production and logistics at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. 

After completing his studies, he worked at MHP for ten years, where he served as a process and SAP consultant as well as a project and team lead, supporting both corporate and mid-sized clients in the automotive, medical technology, and high-tech industries. During this time, he played a key role in establishing the rapidly growing "Smart Manufacturing" division. 

Since 2021, Andreas Lämmle has been a partner at Q2factory. He is responsible for the sectors IT Management Advisory, SAP Solution Architecture, and Supply Chain & Operations.

Christoph Kowatsch

In the age of connected data and complex systems, PLM is the key to accelerating innovation, strengthening collaboration, and creating sustainable solutions for the world of tomorrow.

Christoph Kowatsch first studied Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.) and later pursued a master’s degree in ERP Systems & Business Process Management (M.A.) while in employment. He began his professional career in 2014 as a consultant at Cideon Software & Services. 

Since 2019, he has been working at Q2factory in the field of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) as a consultant, project manager, and client manager. Since then, he has supported numerous renowned clients in the mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, and medical technology industries. After initial projects with CAD Desktop, Christoph Kowatsch specialized in the SAP Engineering Control Center (SAP ECTR). Having worked on implementations since 2015, he is among the first consultants in this field and has extensive experience from over 30 client projects with various CAD systems.

Since 2025, Christoph Kowatsch has been responsible for the Product Lifecycle Management division at Q2factory as a partner. He combines his extensive PLM expertise with process consulting skills (certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) to enhance process efficiency and strengthen companies' competitiveness.
